To identify the basic ICT competences that pupils should have at the end of Compulsory Education:

• Knowledge
• Skills
• Attitudes

To determine the sequence of the basic competence in the different education stages.

To carry out a comparative study on ICT curricula.

To assess the importance given to each competence by each of the groups interviewed.

• Analysis of documentation sources.
• Devising a survey intended for experts.
• Application of the survey through interviews.
• Establishing the provisional list of the basic ICT competences

• Designing an evaluation questionnaire with the basic competences identified by the experts.
• Piloting.
• Setting up the final tests.
• Selection of the sample.
• Application of the survey.

January 2003 - March 2003
• Statistical analysis of the data.
• Interpretation of the results.
• Identification of the basic ICT competences

March 2003 - June 2003
• Determining the sequence of the basic competences sorted by education stages.
• Publication of the results
